Well, we have survived a year in England and may I say that this Southern Belle is LOVING every minute of it. Of course, it's not Memphis, TN. But then again if I wanted Memphis, TN, I would have stayed. But I wanted a change of pace and an adventure for my family. And that is exactly what we got.
I sure didn't bargain for everything that has come to us, but it hasn't fallen into out lap. We have worked extremely hard for everything we have achieved in the last year. And Alec and I are continually working for bigger and better lives for the girls. So the first step....pack up a few belongings and move across an ocean to a part of the world I had only ever visited. But talk about the RIGHT move. I have never felt so sure about a decision I have ever made. (Well, apart from becoming a Phi Mu at Lambuth University, saying YES when Alec proposed, and making the decision to start a family.)
So this is the story of a Southern Belle in the UK. Yes, I'm learning to translate the different cultures and even the different language. American English is NOT English English. If that makes sense. So for those who read this, I hope you enjoy. And please feel free to comment.....
