These are the days that I absolutely LOVE!! It is now almost 8pm and it is brighter than it was at 11am. But what havoc it creates with Maddison. How do you explain to a 4yr old that just because the sun is still out, she still needs to go to bed. We have even bought black out curtains to help with the long summer nights, but the sunlight still gets in. I am going to have to come up with another solution. I've never in my life known days to be so long.
On a good note, it means that I can leave my laundry out on the line longer. Yes, you read it right...I am now drying my laundry out on the line. Now that was something I never did until about a year ago. But I love hanging my clothes out on the line to dry. How many of you plan your laundry days by the forecast of the weather?? I do. And I love it. For whatever reason, I find it rather peaceful and restoring when I stand out in the sunshine pegging my clothes out on the line.
What a way to start your day..a typlical week day morning. Up and ready by 6.50am. Kids up and ready by 7.15am. Downstairs and hanging laundry by 7.20am. Out the door and on the way to the train station by 7.35am. I feel like I've already accomplished so much by the time I actually make it to work. There's nothing better than starting out your day in the sunshine!! I wish every day could be like that.
